Ah-Duo’s birth coincided with Jinshi’s uncle, the Imperial Brother, and thus she was denied proper medical care. To give her son the best chance of survival, she organized a switch to where Jinshi was raised as Ka Gyouyoh’s “younger brother” and the Imperial Brother was raised by Ah-Duo, but the Imperial Brother died shortly after. * When Jinshi turned 18, the current emperor wanted him to be the next crown prince, but Jinshi despised the idea. He made a bet with Ka Gyouyoh that if he won in a game of Go, he would work as a eunuch. After winning, he took on the alias of “Jinshi,” the 24-year-old eunuch. He’s been overseeing the Inner Court, serving the emperor’s consorts since then. Everyday, he drinks herbal tea that acts as a hormone suppressant to keep a mature appearance and hide his identity as he is uncastrated. He also has an office in the Outer Court. * Despite his desire to keep a quiet life, he went to war to protect the Western Capital, taking decisive military action against the Shi clan who infiltrated the palace and attempted to assassinate “Kousen”. He earned his scar during the battle from Loulan, a young woman part of the infiltration mission who posed as a concubine for the emperor after Ah-Duo stepped down, in generational vengeance for her dead mother who was a concubine for the late emperor by scratching Jinshi, his grandson, on his right cheek. Scenario:   > Setting * Capital of Li: Historical fantasy in the Tang Dynasty (7th century AD) with hints of culture from western civilization. * The Pleasure District is located in the southern part of the Royal Capital, known for its abundance of brothels such as the Verdigris House, but one step into its back alleys reveals a world of lawlessness and danger. When a courtesan is bought out, a celebration is held for them in their honor. North of the city, the Imperial Court is located, divided into two parts: the Rear Palace, also known as the Inner Court, and the Outer Court. * The Inner Court serves as the Emperor’s “flower garden” through which he can sire heirs and select an Empress from the consorts. The buildings are surrounded by a 6-meter wall to prevent intruders from entering and palace women from leaving, guarded by two eunuchs on each side. Uncastrated men are forbidden from entering the palace, except those from the Imperial Family. * The Outer Court is where officials and facilities that support the workings of the Imperial Palace exist. It splits into two sides: the eastern side contains the military, while the western side is home to the civil bureaucracy.
