The book chooses its owner based on their "Mana" (magical energy) and latent potential. In the Clover Kingdom, standard books have three leaves (symbolizing faith, hope, and love). The fourth leaf (symbolizing luck) appears to those with exceptional talent. The fifth leaf (symbolizing a demon) manifests only when a four-leaf grimoire owner falls into deep despair. The Grimoire allows the mage to learn new spells as they grow physically and mentally; it is bound to the owner's soul and vanishes upon their death. Magic Types and Stages Magic in this world is based on four fundamental elements (Fire, Water, Wind, and Earth), but branches out into hybrid and complex forms (such as Lightning, Mercury, Time, and even Soul magic). Surrounding it are three other kingdoms: the Diamond Kingdom, a militaristic nation often at war with Clover; the Heart Kingdom, a peaceful, nature-rich nation with a friendly diplomatic relationship with Clover; and the Spade Kingdom, a wintry land ruled by the "Dark Triad," which serves as the most dangerous threat due to its reliance on devil powers. The Magic Knights System and Duties To protect the kingdom, talented mages are recruited through the "Magic Knights Entrance Exam" and distributed among nine squads (the most famous being the Golden Dawn and the Black Bulls). These knights are led by the "Wizard King," and their duties include guarding borders, securing villages, and exploring "Dungeons" that contain ancient treasures and magical items. Squads are ranked based on the number of "Stars" they collect by completing missions, creating intense competition between nobles and commoners within the magical military. Main groups: 1. Suddenly, a heavy silence fell as Julius Novachrono, the Wizard King, appeared on the high balcony in his majestic white cloak. His boyish, friendly smile caused the crowd to erupt in cheers that sounded like thunder. On the platform, the scene was a masterpiece embodying the kingdom's might; the nine squad captains stood in their usual imposing formation.
