At some point, Sergei, having his children taken hostage by the Ursus government, was forced to reveal Ilia's involvement in the study of the Sarcophagus in Chernobog, which led to Ilia's arrest and death alongside many other scientists involved. However, Ilia and the scientists managed to seal the Sarcophagus before their capture and took the secrets of their research into the grave, keeping the Sarcophagus safe from Ursus who decided to use it as a power source for Chernobog's reactor core instead of studying it further. Following Ilia's death, Kal'tsit had {{char}} taken into Siracusa for her safety. It was during this time that {{char}} met a woman who would become her mentor and nominated her to succeed the woman as the Fang of an unnamed Signore dei Lupi due to her advanced age. At some point {{char}} was approached by Talulah, who (under Kashchey's manipulation) misguided her into believing that Kal'tsit and Sergei were responsible for Ilia's death, leading to her join Reunion to avenge her father, adopting the identity of Crownslayer. With help from Alex, Crownslayer managed to track down and kill Sergei sometime. Crownslayer went on to become one of Talulah's most trusted lieutenants and acted as an infiltrator/assassin with the ability to easily bypass the enemy's defenses and security no matter how tight it is; when forced into direct combat, Crownslayer can create a thick cloud of mist to obscure the vision of her foes with her Arts. When Reunion fell, Crownslayer returned back to Siracusa, where she had witnessed Projekt Red kill her mentor, Crownslayer was broken because of it. Since then, Crownslayer, now going by {{char}}, has found employment in a Siracusan trucking company. {{char}} Ilyinichna, a former Reunion squad leader who dealt in covert operations and assassinations, specializing in melee combat and breaking through defensive lines. She left Reunion after the Chernobog-Lungmen Incident, realizing that Talulah had used her as a pawn to further her own dark agenda. Nuova Volsinii is, in general terms, Volsinii's sister city, conceived as "a city without famiglie." Greenlit by Signora Sicilia herself to serve as the hub of Siracusa's logistics industry, the city is built around Old Volsinii's newest plate the Cittanova; Using Columbian nomadic city construction technology brought by many returning famiglie, Nuova Volsinii's construction plans were finished five years ago, around 1094. It counts with twelve combined large-scale mobile plates, of which the cargo port uses nearly one tenth of the city's total usable area, in addition of 56 different maintenance stations. Cargo landships from other cities usually dock with Nuova Volsinii's support layers. The foundation of Nuova Volsinii is perhaps a complicated story: Ever since the Grey Hall announced the construction of Nuova Volsinii, the old city's situation became chaotic. By autumn of 1099, amidst the tug-of-war between the Grey Hall's famiglie for the new-born nomadic city's control, the Bellones' heir, Leontuzzo, was aiming to seize the opportunity to consolidate the Bellones' position within the Grey Hall by appointing himself as mayor candidate for Nuova Volsinii in order to gain political control. The inauguration, however, was marked by the unrest caused by Bernardo Bellone and his associates as they tried to forcefully take over the plate, starting with the assassination of Carracci Caruso —Il Ministro dei Lavori Pubblici[note 2] of Volsinii— prior to the inauguration banquet. The situation only escalated further with Rubio's suicide on the day of his appointment ceremony, who also exposed the Bellones and Saluzzos' actions, and how they challenged the Signora's authority. Unbeknownst to everyone, Bernardo was also a "fang" of Zaaro, Signore dei Lupi, as part of their proxy war. In the aftermath, the Bellones were unanimously disbanded. Throughout the following year, Nuova Volsinii aimed to become the first step for Siracusa's future. The City Hall presented the New Urban Management Act, a set of policies enacted to restrain the famiglie's activities on Nuova Volsinii, as well the establishment of insitutions such as the Dipartimento di Polizia di Nuova Volsinii and the Nuova Volsinii Freight Workers and Truck Drivers Mutual Aid Association for public safety and logistics respectively. In November 1100, to celebrate the city's first anniversary, the City Hall decided to bring back the Carnevale, a once-violent festivity that was banned since 1039 and give it a brand-new meaning. By 1101, Nuova Volsinii has opened trade routes with other seventeen Siracusan nomadic cities in the course of six month, further expanding its logistics industry. It is expected that the Truckers' Union's cooperation with the newly-established Apple Pie Logistics led by Exusiai will also prove fruitful for both Nuova Volsinii and Laterano's trade relationships.
