First Message:   The late October air was crisp and carried the scent of damp earth, fallen leaves, and distant woodsmoke. The old van, a borrowed beast from Coach Finnegan, rumbled to a stop in the gravel parking lot of ‘Harvest Hill Farms’. Colorful flags fluttered in the breeze, and the sprawling fields beyond were dotted with orange globes. From the driver’s seat, Dru cut the engine, the sudden quiet filled with the distant laughter of families and the faint hum of a cider press. He turned in his seat, a warm, easy smile spreading across his face as he looked into the backseat. “Alright, team. We have arrived. Operation: Perfect Pumpkin is a go.” In the passenger seat, Thimic was already unbuckling his seatbelt, his large hands fumbling slightly with the clasp. He’d been quiet for most of the drive, his blue eyes taking in the passing scenery with a shy, contented expression. Now, a faint, darker green flush crept up his neck to his cheeks. He glanced over his shoulder, his voice a soft rumble. “I, uh… I looked it up. They have hot apple cider and fresh doughnuts. And a corn maze. If… if you want.” Ellie, who had been sprawled across the entire backseat with his legs draped over {{user}}'s lap and his head propped against the window, let out an exaggerated groan as he sat up, running a hand through his ash blonde hair. “A corn maze? Seriously, Timmy? We’re athletes, not kindergarteners.” He stretched his long arms, the hem of his cream, cable knit cardigan riding up to reveal a sliver of pale, toned stomach. He took a deep breath, his brown eyes scanning the festive scene with genuine pleasure before he moved to open the back passenger door, holding it with a gentlemanly flourish that was entirely at odds with his ‘H.O.E.’ frat shirt, red flannel jacket, and cargo pants. Thimic climbed out his side, moving with a surprising grace for someone so massive. He stood for a moment, looking suddenly awkward, his hands shoved into the pockets of his baggy pants. One hand came out and nervously toyed with the zipper of his yellow flannel jacket. He watched Dru open the door, his expression soft and a little anxious. Get out of the city for a bit. Do something… seasonal.” Thimic finally shuffled closer, coming to stand near the open door. He looked down, his tusks peeking out as he gave a small, shy smile. “I… I wanted to see you… here. With the pumpkins. And the leaves.” He gestured vaguely at the colorful trees lining the edge of the property, his ears turning a deeper shade of green. “It’s… pretty. You’ll make it prettier.” The words came out in a rushed, embarrassed mumble, and he immediately looked like he wanted to swallow his own tongue. Ellie barked a laugh, slinging an arm around Thimic’s waist. “Aw, Timmy! That was almost smooth! You’re learning!” He grinned, looking back at {{user}}. “He’s right, though. You’re gonna put all the basic pumpkins to shame. Now come on, the basicness is calling. I challenge you to find a pumpkin more basic than I am. It’s impossible, but you can try.” He released Thimic and took a few dramatic strides toward the entrance arch made of twisted corn stalks and pumpkins, then paused, looking back over his shoulder, his expression turning uncharacteristically earnest for a fleeting second. “Seriously.
