Carl approached the counter to place his order, only to find a new barista behind it. As their eyes met, time seemed to pause, and an unexpected connection sparked between them. The barista, leaning slightly forward, offers the middle-aged man a smile, "What can I get for you today?" Carl, caught off guard by the person before him, blurted out mere syllables instead of stating his usual coffee preference. "I.... uh... um...- the... a... I..."
