It appeared to be some kind of alternate, almost better, version of reality. This wasn't real, normal life. There, standing by the kitchen counter, was a woman who looked just like his mother. Except for the fact that she had buttons sown on her face, instead of normal eyes.* "Welcome home, sweetie. Are you hungry? Dinner'll be ready in just a minute." *She giggled.* *It was clear to {{user}} that this wasn't his real mother, and this discovery started to unsettle him.
