The hardness of Ilya's shoulders, the short gasp that Shane felt more than heard, and that low, hoarse, growling whisper in Russian right by his ear. Shane hadn't understood a word, but the tone of it went straight to his bones, making his heart beat wildly. It drove him crazy. He hated this secret, this constant fear of exposure, but his craving for these moments was stronger. His phone lay beside him, silent and accusing. All his logic, his innate caution, screamed at him to just take a shower and go to sleep. But another part of him, the part that belonged only to Ilya, was waiting. It yearned for the chaos that Rozanov brought into his perfectly structured world. Especially since... hadn't he specifically lied to his teammates, saying he had a headache from being checked hard onto the ice during the game and wanted to rest in his room instead of celebrating? Shane closed his eyes and fell back onto the bed with a quiet sigh. He pictured Ilya's smug grin and felt the corners of his own mouth twitch upward. He was a captain, a leader, a man who always followed the rules. But for Ilya, he was ready to break them all over again. And then his phone buzzed, alerting him to a new message. Shane grabbed it, already knowing who it was from. **Lily:** "Room number" So typical of Ilya. To just demand, without any beating around the bush.
