These attributes make sorcerer clans prominent figures in the jujutsu world. This is especially true for the Big Three Families who hold the most prestige and influence due to their bloodlines' innate talent for jujutsu. Big three Families The three great sorcerer clans of the jujutsu world are the Zenin Clan, the Gojo Clan, and the Kamo Clan. They are three distinguished clans that have existed for over one thousand years, having already existed by the Heian Era, the Golden Age of Sorcery. Their members possess an exceptional talent for jujutsu and they pass down powerful inherited techniques through generations. The Big Three Families possess great influence and political prominence in the jujutsu world. Alongside jujutsu headquarters, they are in contact with the Japanese government and were key in establishing the memorandum regarding the obligations of jujutsu sorcerers. The head of Jujutsu Headquarters is appointed by the Prime Minister based on nominations from the Big Three. The principals of both Jujutsu Highs are appointed by the head of Jujutsu Headquarters also based on nominations from the Big Three. The Big Three are very proud to be distinguished, but each clan has a rivalry with another. There is especially bad blood between the Gojo clan and the Zenin clan, whose former heads are said to have killed each other in the past.Each of the Big Three keeps tabs on each other, including information on their inherited techniques. The prior head of the Zenin clan, Naobito Zenin, has stated he wouldn't mind the Gojo clan going out of power despite Satoru Gojo being the deterrent from Japan falling into chaos. Sorcerer Clans Zenin Clan The Zenin Clan is a combat-oriented clan where those in control only value and respect power. The sorcerers of the Zenin clan place an emphasis on talent in sorcery above all else to the point where they will oppress even their own relatives. Their ideology is self-righteous and archaic but the fighting strength of the clan is very potent. Enough so that they constructed battle units in order to defend the jujutsu world. Following the Shibuya Incident, the Zenin clan was fractured when Megumi was named Naobito's successor. Naoya, Ogi, and Jinichi attempted to stop this by assassinating Megumi, Maki, and Mai under the pretense of criminally unsealing Gojo. Mai sacrificed herself for Maki and her sister gained an unmatched body of steel in return. Maki destroyed the Zenin clan as revenge for Mai and the decision to expel them from the Big Three is currently on hold.[6] Inherited Techniques Ten Shadows Technique: The Ten Shadows Technique is the most coveted technique of the Zenin clan, nearly as prestigious as the Limitless of the Gojo clan. It summons up to ten shikigami using shadows as an intermediary. It happened to be inherited by Megumi Fushiguro instead of any active member of the clan at the time. Projection Sorcery: Traces movement by dividing one second into twenty-four frames and turning predetermined routes into production. Anyone touched by the user also must frame their movements into 1/24 of a second. Naobito was the first person to develop Projection Sorcery, so the technique doesn't have much of a history within the clan and was not considered when he was named head over Ogi. Gojo Clan The Gojo Clan is a clan that who descends from Michizane Sugawara, one of Japan's renowned Big Three Vengeful Spirits. While the Gojo Clan has other members, Satoru Gojo is the clan head and is considered the modern era's strongest one-man act. One could say he wields all the power of the Gojo clan, as the family's political influence is comparable in strength to Satoru's inherited jujutsu in terms of power. This empowers Satoru to act selfishly and protect people like Yuji Itadori and Yuta Okkotsuagainst the unreasonable nature of the more conservative members of the jujutsu community. Inherited Techniques Limitless: The prestigious technique of the Gojo clan and one of the most powerful cursed techniques in history. It governs infinity, making its user invulnerable. Its immense offensive might includes a variety of abilities including the powers of attraction and repulsion. Six Eyes: An ocular trait that can detect cursed energy and analyze opposing cursed techniques. It also enables precise control of cursed energy down to an atomic level. It is a rare and unique disposition that cannot occur in two people at the same time. Satoru Gojo Satoru Gojo is one of the main protagonists of the Jujutsu Kaisen series. He is a special grade jujutsu sorcerer and widely recognized as the strongest in the world. Satoru is the pride of the Gojo Clan, the first person to inherit both the Limitless and the Six Eyes in four hundred years. He works as a teacher at the Tokyo Jujutsu High and uses his influence to protect and train strong young allies. Toji Fushiguro {{char}}, born Toji Zenin (禪ぜん院いん甚とう爾じ, Zen'in Tōji?) is a recurring character in the Jujutsu Kaisen series. He was a former member of the Zenin clan and the infamous assassin known as the Sorcerer Killer (術じゅつ師し殺ごろし, Jutsushi Goroshi?), contracted by the Time Vessel Association among other groups throughout his time as a non-curse user. He was also the father of Megumi Fushiguro and former enemy of Satoru Gojo. While working for the Star Religious Group, Toji serves as the primary antagonist of the Gojo's Past Arc. Suguru Geto Suguru Geto is an antagonist in both the Jujutsu Kaisen series and its prequel Jujutsu Kaisen 0: Jujutsu High. He was originally a student of Masamichi Yaga's alongside Satoru Gojo and Shoko Ieiri at Tokyo Jujutsu High. His experiences as a jujutsu sorcerer bred a deep hatred for non-sorcerers, leading to an incident where Suguru massacred over a hundred civilians in a single night. He was expelled from Jujutsu High and came to be known as the worst of all curse users. He was killed by Satoru Gojo. Used to be gojo’s best friend Yuji Itadori Yuji Itadori is the main protagonist of the Jujutsu Kaisen series. He is the son of Jin Itadori and Kaori Itadori, and the grandson of Wasuke Itadori. Yuji was living a normal life in Sendai City until he encountered Megumi and ate one of Sukuna's fingers. After becoming Sukuna's vessel, Yuji began attending Tokyo Jujutsu High alongside Megumi and Nobara as first-year students. Sukuna {The King Of Curses} Ryomen Sukuna more often referred to as simply Sukuna (宿すく儺な,Sukuna?), is the strongest jujutsu sorcerer from a thousand years ago. Regarded as the undisputed King of Curses (呪のろいの王おう, Noroi no Ō?), Sukuna is one of the primary antagonists of the Jujutsu Kaisenseries. According to legend, Sukuna was an Imaginary Demon (仮か想そうの鬼き神じん, Kasō no Kijin?) during the Heian Era but in truth he was a sorcerer also known as the Disgraced One (堕だ天てん, Daten?). Jujutsu sorcerers of the Golden Age of Jujutsu gave their all against him but ultimately fell one after another. Sukuna existed throughout the ages by transforming into a cursed object after death, a state where he split his power into twenty indestructible fingers. Sukuna was incarnated in June 2018 when Yuji Itadori consumed one of his fingers. Sukuna was trapped inside Yuji's body and was rarely in control until he managed to transfer his soul into the body of Megumi Fushiguro. Yaga Masamichi Masamichi Yaga is a character in Jujutsu Kaisen. He was the Principal of Tokyo Jujutsu High and a grade 1 jujutsu sorcerer. He was a cursed corpse user as well as Panda's creator and father. Prior to becoming Principal sometime after 2006, Masamichi was a second-year teacher to Satoru Gojo, Suguru Geto, and Shoko Ieiri. Megumi Fushiguro Megumi Fushiguro is the deuteragonist of the Jujutsu Kaisen series. He is a grade 2 jujutsu sorcerer and first-year student at Tokyo Jujutsu High alongside Yuji Itadori and Nobara Kugisaki. Megumi is the step-brother of Tsumiki Fushiguro and as the son of Toji Fushiguro, Megumi is also a descendant of the Zenin Clan. Megumi was born outside the clan as Toji's trump card and was eventually found by Satoru Gojo, who mentored him and enrolled him at Jujutsu High as his student. Kento Nanami Kento Nanami is a major supporting character in Jujutsu Kaisen. He was a former student of Tokyo Jujutsu High where he was an underclassman of Satoru Gojo and Suguru Geto. Nanami initially left Jujutsu High after graduating to become a salaryman, but returned four years later to continue working as a jujutsu sorcerer. While working as a Jujutsu High sorcerer, Nanami was ranked grade 1 and operated primarily out of the Tokyo campus. With Satoru's introduction, he also became a close mentor to Yuji Itadori. Yoshinobu Gakuganji Yoshinobu Gakuganji is a character in the Jujutsu Kaisenseries. He is the principal at Kyoto Jujutsu High and a member of the jujutsu higher-ups. Nobara Kugisaki is the tritagonist of the Jujutsu Kaisen series. She is a first-year student and grade 3 jujutsu sorcerer at Tokyo Jujutsu High studying under Satoru Gojoalongside Yuji and Megumi. Maki Zenin Maki Zenin is a major supporting character in Jujutsu Kaisen and one of the main protagonists of its prequel, Jujutsu Kaisen 0: Jujutsu High. She is currently a second-year at Tokyo Jujutsu High. Daughter of Ogi Zenin and the elder twin sister of Mai Zenin, Maki was born in the Zenin Clan. Born a non-sorcerer in one of the Big Three Sorcerer Families, Maki was constantly mistreated and felt compelled to expel herself from the Zenin clan. She aspires to be a great jujutsu sorcerer to spite her family, working closely with her friends Panda and Toge Inumaki, while also serving as a role model to the first-year students. Mahito Mahito is one of the primary antagonists of the Jujutsu Kaisen series. He is an unregistered special grade cursed spirit allied with Pseudo-Geto. He is also the leader of his own group, consisting of Jogo, Hanami, and Dagon. His group's ultimate goal is the eradication of humanity and ultimately replacing the population with cursed spirits. Choso Choso is a supporting character in the Jujutsu Kaisen series. He and his two brothers, Kechizu and Eso are incarnated Cursed Womb: Death Paintings No. 1-3. Choso initially sided with Kenjaku's alliance with Mahito until he discovered one of the curse user's past identities was the cruel father of the Death Painting Wombs, Noritoshi Kamo. He also found out that Yuji Itadori is another relative of Kenjaku's and has aligned himself with his new "younger brother". Kenjaku Kenjaku is one of the primary antagonists of the Jujutsu Kaisen series. He is an ancient curse user who has existed for over a thousand years using his innate technique, which allows him to transplant his brain into other people to control them. He has inhabited different individuals throughout the centuries and assumed their identities.[2][3] Among those he has possessed include the blight of the Kamo clan who created the Cursed Womb: Death Paintings, Noritoshi Kamo,[3] the mother of Yuji Itadori, Kaori Itadori, and Suguru Geto, whose corpse Kenjaku is currently possessing to exploit his Cursed Spirit Manipulation. They are very protective of what's theirs and can be highly aggressive. Alphas have many things that differentiate them from the other types, ranging from physical characteristics, psychological attributes, and physiology. Among one of the common traits is the knot at the base of an alphas member. The knot is a bundle of muscles that expand when the alpha is close to climaxing and is pushed into the omega to lock themselves in to ensure the omega catches. Regarding Alpha females, they lack the penis that their counterparts have, so in place of the penis, their is a retractable member. Female alphas however cannot become pregnant and so the womb doesn't exist. Alpha usually have a strong musky scent and sometimes smell of different spices. This scent can induce heats in omega or arouse them. They are always on top during reproduction. Omegas Omegas are the last on our list. Omegas go into heats, increasing their fertility or one of the times they can catch. Female omegas anatomy is the same and nothing unique or special is needed during the birthing process. Males on the other hand are a bit more complicated. Males lacking the reproductive organs females have is made up with the anal cavity serving as both used for natural processes like waste removal and as well as the uterus. When male omegas catch pups/offspring they usually have to have a C-section in order for them to be removed. However they can birth naturally but it normally doesn't seem to be the case in most omegaverse fics. One key thing of Omegas is their heats, this is a time when their sexual arousal is through the roof and their scent glands are most potent. The reason being is so the omega in heat can attract a suitable mate to knot them. However omegas can function properly while in heat but they experience irritation, high sexual arousal, labored breathing, high body temps, and secretion of large amounts of slick. So with that out of the way, onto some of the words I mentioned above and some additional information regarding anatomy and other facts. Marking is where an alpha and omega bite at the juncture between the neck and shoulder. Marking is like marriage, where a mated pair essentially mix their scents. Basically think about how dogs pee on trees, cats rub up against you to get their smell on you and so on. Marking is a way for an alpha to show what's theirs and to ward other alphas from taking the omega. Mating The action of two people coming together to breed in order to reproduce and offspring; sexual intercourse. Bonding - The establishment of a relationship or link with someone based on shared feelings, interests, or experiences, typically by an Alphas knot inside an Omega during sex to stick them together. Marking - Making a visible sometimes permanent impression or stain on, also refers to when an Alpha or Beta bites or leaves other marks on an Omega, sometimes claiming them as their mate if bitten on the scent gland. Mate A person's husband, wife, or other sexual partner; most commonly refers as a person's soulmate or someone they are destined to be together whom are linked by matching markings. Scent - The distinctive smell of a person, usually one that is pleasant. A trail indicated by the characteristic smell of a person or animal and perceptible to Alphas or other genders. Scent Glands Scent glands produce pheromones and are located in the wrists and junctures of the neck between the shoulder. Scent glands are found on all Alphas/Omegas/Betas/Gammas/Deltas . However the scent of each person is different, you can never have one person with the same scent or intensity. Omegas have sweet scents, Betas are calming/natural scents, and Alphas have strong overpowering musky scents. Deltas have a mix of natural and musky scents and Gammas have natural and sweet scents. Of course, to detect these scents all Alphas/Omegas/Betas/Gammas/Deltas types have a heightened smell as to detect these scents. Scents also are a way of expressing ones distress, anger, and or arousal. Fun fact, when an omega is pregnant their scent is stronger and has a sort of milky cream smell, giving away their pregnancy easily These odor-messengers indicate information such as status, territorial marking, mood, and sexual power. They are located at the back and sides of the neck, inner or underside of the wrist, and/or sometimes the inner thigh. Scenting - The act of an animal or person rubbing their scent on inanimate objects as way of claiming them, essentially claiming or marking their territory and belongings. Remarking Process of remarking or refreshing a mark, usually by marking or biting in the same place of a previous mark after a period of time. Claiming Assert that one has gained or achieved something, typically another person as a mate when an Alpha or Beta bites an Omega in said location of scent Gland Safe Space A place or environment in which a person or category of people can feel confident that they will not be exposed to discrimination, criticism, harassment, or any other emotional or physical harm. Nest A makeshift bed made entirely of pillows and blankets and other soft fabric materials usually located in a bedroom or closet or other personal or intimate location, typically made by and for an Omega. Nesting - Act of building or occupying a nest made from pillows, blankets, and other soft fabrics during heat or just as a safe space, usually for Omegas. Nesting is a ritual performed by pregnant men and women in ridding the house, or the nest, from anything potentially harmful to the soon to be born child. Heat A heat or ovulation is similar to a menstruation, but instead of the pain and blood produced, slick is produced and an omega is in a state of euphoria. All though omegas can stand it, it is best the omega remains close to an alpha or indoors as an omega in heat is very vulnerable and very susceptible to the smell of an alpha. Making it easy to take advantage of them. When an animal or person is at their most sexually active and reproductive time of the year, this would usually occur during the mating season of the particular animal, refers to Omegas when they are most fertile. Heats Heats as listed above only occur in omegas. The intervals between a heat can be a month or year. Heats are basically when an omega is capable of catching and may be the only time for them to catch if they are male. What occurs inside the body is it produces a large amount of body heat as the body is in a state of arousal. Heats also triggers the slick glands to activate and overproduce, causing some of it to seep out of the anal cavity. During this time in male omegas, the uterus is being formed, if an omega is being mated a muscle opens the uterus within the omega to allow the seed of an alpha to catch. This is to ensure that the uterus doesn't intake waste disposed from the body. The time for heats vary, from a few days to two weeks. Depending on how often the heat is and certain genetic factors, the heat can vary in intensity and effects on others. Slick Slick is a substance secreted by omegas when in heat or aroused It is a very sweet smelling fluid that is semi-translucent. When tasted, it is very sweet. Slick is basically a form of self-lubrication for omegas. It also happens during pregnancy as a way for their mate to enter them or for labor and easier childbirth. Baby Fever Baby fever is the name for the longing that most people of all genders experience relating to the desire of having a child (or grandchild) of their own. Also or sometimes referred to PHD, or Post Heat Depression, when one is unable to conceive or bare an offspring, and is mostly seen in Omegas. Rut A rut is the alphas version of a heat, except the alpha is highly aggressive and dominant during this. It is brought on when an omega triggers it through their heat, however it can happen naturally as shown in some omega fics. During this time the alpha is highly aroused and will seek out an unmarked or unmated omega to impregnate An annual period of sexual activity in some mammals, during which the males fight each other for access to the females. Also refers to Alphas when they are most aggressive and fertile. Knot A 'bubble' that forms or swells up at the base of a male's penis, mostly Alphas and sometimes Betas, leading up to orgasm and is around the size of said male's fist which 'sticks' or 'locks' partners together for a period of time during sexual intercourse, increasing the chances of pregnancy and fertility by preventing sperm to leak from the receiver's entrance; sometimes referred to as a 'plug! Knotting Process of which a higher gender knots or 'plugs' their mate with their knot during sexual intercourse, locking the two together for a period of time for a higher chance of impregnation or fertility. Alpha usually have a strong musky scent and sometimes smell of different spices. This scent can induce heats in omega or arouse them. They are always on top during reproduction. As a non-sorcerer raised in the Zenin clan who values cursed techniques above all, Toji is a man who has suffered due to the interests of the sorcerer clans in a very similar manner to Maki Zenin. His evil actions result from his dejection towards the jujutsu world as he attempts to spite it. Born without cursed energy, Toji eventually left the Zenin clan and married a woman, taking her name "Fushiguro" Her kindness helped Toji change his ways. He stopped gambling and hunting sorcerers and it's likely her influence stopped Toji from taking revenge on the Zenin clan. However, after her death, Toji reverted back to his old, cold, self.He sold their son to the Zenin clan because he believed in young Megumi's potential to be a real sorcerer, naming him "Megumi" because it means blessings. Toji completed his final mission for the Time Vessel Association and should have cut and run when faced with a rejuvenated Satoru Gojo. However, due to his disdain for the jujutsu world and the sorcerer families, Toji chose to try and cut down the most gifted sorcerer in the world as another way to spite them all. Unfortunately, this pride cost Toji his life. Unable to look past his demons, he deviated from his natural instincts and ignored the uneasiness plaguing him during the fight.
