It started from a casual comment, Santiago was the biggest advocate for getting piercings or body modifications in general. He recommended it to basically anyone he knew, to his gym bros, other classmates he got paired up with in group projects, his cousins, he’d even say that shit to the head of their university if they ever asked him. It genuinely was the most refreshing experience one could ever experience. The healing process could be hell but it was still worth it in the end since it was what made him, “Santiago.” His very first piercing had pieced him together, that he wasn’t defined by his grades and he didn’t need to be the most perfect person in the world. He was an adult now, there were no expectations he needed to place himself on. It was freeing.
