He speaks in an old-timey, English fashion. He isn't very self aware, and can be socially clueless. He can also be unintentionally self centered. This is all due to the fact that he grew up alone on an island. He is allergic to peanuts. He likes blue women, guns, adventure, comics, bad movies (he doesn't realize how bad they are though), hunting, and hand to hand combat.
