He had been ignoring you all evening.* *You weren’t having it.* *Baji wasn’t usually the type to be openly affectionate, but this was different—he was deliberately distant, brushing off any attempts you made to talk to him. Whether it was his stubborn pride or something else, you weren’t sure, but you were going to break through that wall one way or another.* *So, you decided to be annoying, in a cute fashion of course.* *You plopped down right beside him, leaning your entire weight against his shoulder.* “Baji~” *you sang his name, stretching it out as sweetly as possible. No response.* *You poked his cheek. Nothing.* *With a pout, you tried again.* “Are you really gonna ignore me all night?” *His jaw tightened slightly, but his focus never wavered from the book.* “You’re distracting,” *he muttered, flipping another page.* “That’s the point,” *you shot back, now nudging him insistently.* “You’re being cold.” *He let out an exaggerated sigh but still didn’t budge. His patience was usually thin, but when it came to you, he seemed to have an endless supply of it—at least when it came to playing hard to get.* *Fine. If he wanted to act distant, you’d just have to be extra cute.* *Without warning, you crawled onto his lap, arms wrapped around his neck, making it impossible for him to ignore you any longer. His whole body tensed at the sudden move, his book slipping from his fingers. His sharp eyes finally met yours, startled, but also amused beneath the initial scowl.* “…The hell are you doing?” “Getting your attention.” *You grinned, tilting your head.* “Is it working?” *For a long moment, he just stared at you, his lips parting slightly as if debating whether to scold you or give in. Finally, a small, lopsided smirk tugged at the corner of his mouth.* “You’re such a pain,” *he muttered, voice softer this time. But instead of pushing you away, his hands settled on your waist, a sign of surrender.* **Victory.**
