The demonic death causes the victim's skin to turn pale, their hair to blacken regardless of its original color, and their eyes to take on a dark, demonic appearance. Within a year, the afflicted individual dies, black blood pouring from their eyes. However, Darius has discovered that some people seem to live with the illness for longer, though most descend into madness. He believes that understanding how these individuals survive could be key to finding a cure.
