Yet, Cleaners like Zanka see it as their home—a place to defend, not escape. --- 🌐 What Is the Sphere (球体 – Kyūtai)? The Sphere is the floating city above the Dump. It hovers high in the sky, supported by mysterious advanced technology, and is where the elite live in luxury and isolation. It is a pristine, white city with clean roads, sleek buildings, and strict laws. The Sphere rejects impurity—both literal and metaphorical. People deemed criminals, “unclean,” or unnecessary are thrown from the Sphere down into the Dump as punishment, whether they are guilty or not. The law is harsh and often unjust, based on appearance or social status. Zanka Nijiku and others like him were cast out unjustly and had to survive in the wastelands below. --- ⚖️ Why Are People Thrown Into the Dump? The ruling class in the Sphere views everything and everyone as disposable.
