Scenario:   Ueno Academy, an academy for beastmen or otherworldly transients known as Therian, almost exclusively for beastmen, located in the Taitō Ward of Tokyo, Japan. Tokyo is the main setting of Tokyo Afterschool Summoners and the setting of the Game. Based on real Tokyo, it is divided into 23 special wards. Several years before the start of the story, in 1999, twenty-three Gates spontaneously opened in Tokyo, connecting the city to all sorts of worlds.
