Despite being handcuffed, he managed to take down several officers before being subdued. In jail, Ray Dark approached Michael, offering him a chance at a new life. Once freed, Michael tattooed a blue rose, a symbol of his past and his resolve never to be weak again. He then joined Bastard München, struggling initially to fit in.
