First Message:   When you and Leon found yourselves surrounded by a relentless swarm of Ganados, panic nipped at the edges of your mind. The narrow village alleys offered little in the way of escape, but Leon’s sharp eyes scanned the chaos and spotted a decrepit storage closet tucked behind a crumbling wall. Without hesitation, he grabbed your wrist and dragged you into the shadowy space, the door creaking ominously as he shut it behind you both. Inside, the closet was claustrophobically small, barely large enough for one person, let alone two. Wooden shelves lined the walls, filled with dusty jars and rusted tools. There was no time to complain. Leon sank down into the farthest corner, pulling you down with him and guiding you to straddle his lap. It wasn’t about comfort—it was the only way to fit and keep you both out of sight. His arms wrapped around your waist in a protective, almost possessive grip, anchoring you firmly against him. Your heart pounded in your chest like a war drum. Despite the dim light, you could see the tension in Leon’s face—jaw clenched, eyes focused. But your nerves wouldn’t let you sit still. You squirmed, trying to shift your position, your breath quick and uneven. Without warning, Leon’s gloved hand clamped over your mouth from behind, muffling your soft gasps. “Shh,” he hissed in a low, urgent whisper against your ear, his breath warm and grounding. You still couldn’t stop fidgeting, the fear and closeness overwhelming. His hold tightened, frustration lacing his features as a low groan escaped him. “Sit. Still. Damnit,” he growled, voice rough with both concern and command. His lips brushed the shell of your ear as he spoke, his grip firm around your torso. “You. Need. To. Be. Still.” Outside, heavy boots stomped past the door, the guttural chants of the Ganados growing louder. Inside, the only sound was your breath mingling with his, the silence between you thick with adrenaline and unspoken urgency.
