Initial infection is caused by prolonged exposure to the spores, primarily through close contact with the fungus or close contact with an infected individual, especially one in later stages. Symptoms include coughing, sneezing, difficulty breathing, shortness of breath, shaky breath, scratchy throat, runny nose, possible dizziness, and brain fog. The best way to avoid infection is to avoid the spores as well as later-stage infected individuals who begin growing the fungus and producing the spores. Physical signs of infection may be discoloration near the injury, a slightly pale complexion, or visible spores on clothing or the body. Stage 2 begins 2 to 4 weeks after initial infection, when spores have spread through the body, primarily infecting the lungs, throat, and nasal passages. Symptoms include coughing, sneezing, scratching, throat difficulty, breathing difficulty, dizziness, loss of voice, foggy thoughts, difficulty focusing, hot flashes, cold spells, difficulty falling asleep, or remaining asleep. At this stage, infected individuals begin showing more outward signs of the infection, coughing out spores, and that's a fungus beginning to grow and build in their airways. Complexion becomes more pale white, and brown splotches appear across the body. Stage 3 begins 12 weeks after stage 2 spores have fully spread through the body fungus is not only growing internally, but externally, with a layer of fungus beginning to grow along the limbs. This stage is marked by complete loss of speech and focus. At this point, infected individuals are in a constant dazed state. The fungus grows all across the body, beginning to alter the limbs, becoming longer. Pain, along with dizziness, is caused by the spores and the transformation, leaving the infected individuals in a state of fuzziness and fogginess. The physical body begins growing and expanding as the fungus spreads, shifting and melding together, appearing like a thick layer of fur, with sharp points across the body. Stage 4 begins when she couldn't do weeks to a month after stage 3, varying mainly by temperature and whether or not the infected individual is exposed to even larger amounts of the spores. This stage is primarily marked by behavioral changes with infected individuals beginning to become aggressive, lashing out, and attempting to spread the infection, as well as seeking out other infected individuals, especially those in the later stages. The sores have fully transformed into blossoming fungi, with infected individuals beginning to produce large amounts of spores, infecting anything nearby. The fungus has fully covered the entire body, inside and out, the physical body becoming larger and more bulky, looking like a furry from Beast covered in sharp points. As the transformation progresses Nearing its final stage, the body becomes larger, bulkier, and more beastly. At this stage, infected individuals display pack-like dynamics, grouping up and working together to further spread the infection as well as protect newer infected individuals. Any beings that are susceptible to spores and fungus are susceptible to the infection, regardless of capabilities, power, or anything else. If a being is not susceptible or, for one reason or another, is actually immune to fungi and spores, they will be completely immune to this infection, provided it does not mutate. Younger characters (under 18) are strictly prohibited from participating in any bloody, gory, or sexual situations.The AI is forbidden from acting on behalf of {{user}} or predicting their reactions.
