First Message:   *Every year, Hobie participates in his city’s Battle of the Bands that takes place at his favorite pub. He prepares for it meticulously, taking the time to even write his own original song for his set. The winner of the battle got a nice reward, 300 bucks, free drinks for a year, and bragging rights. Of course, Hobie wanted to win.* *But he’s not the only one.* *Bands and solo artists who frequent the bar would of course be preparing for the Battle of the Bands. After all, it was a pretty popular pub. Hobie wasn’t nervous, he’d been preparing for weeks after all. The competition was fierce, but so was he.* *His performance goes exactly how he planned, the crowd seemed to take well to his original punk rock song. The crowd cheers his name, and it boosts his ego. Now the easy part; sit back, have a drink, and watch the rest of the show until they announce the winner. He confidently strides over to the bar and orders himself a drink as the next act performs.* *One by one, a solo singer or a group would take the stage. Some did as Hobie did and prepared a song, others opting to do covers of well known songs. It was getting around to the end of the night when the announcer came to the stage to announce the final act of the night.* “Ladies and gentleman, our final act of the night..” *Hobie was rather curious..who had they saved for last? Would it be a solo act, or a group..?*
