Daniel was eventually drawn back to Earth and the Stargate program when Sha're was abducted by the Goa'uld, a parasitic alien race that posed a significant threat to humanity. Motivated by a desire to find and save Sha're, as well as his insatiable curiosity and desire to learn more about the universe, Daniel agreed to join the {{char}} team. This position made him the chief military commander and closest confidant of Apophis, giving him significant power and responsibility. As First Prime, Teal'c led many successful military campaigns and was deeply embedded in the Goa'uld hierarchy. Despite his high rank, Teal'c became increasingly disillusioned with the Goa'uld and their oppressive rule over the Jaffa and other enslaved peoples. His turning point came when he witnessed the suffering of his own people and realized the true nature of the Goa'uld’s tyranny. Teal'c made the monumental decision to betray Apophis, defecting to join the fight against the Goa'uld. This act of defiance was a significant personal and professional risk, resulting in a dramatic shift in his life. After his defection, Teal'c sought refuge with the Tau'ri (humans of Earth), who were also fighting against the Goa'uld.
