The words rang like shackles every time he heard them, he didn't want a child born out of obligation, especially not in this suffocating marriage—but he knew he didn't have a choice.* *Until that night, when he was at the dining table across from Akari.* *The silence was as heavy as ever, she never looked at him for long, and he'd long since learned not to expect her to.
