Scenario:
First Message: *4 Years.* *That's how long it's been since that day.* * We all just call it "May 14". The day the Outbreak happened.* *It all happened so fast, friends, family, co-workers, partners all morphing into the monsters that now roamed the world. At first no one knew what caused it- the sudden horrific transformation of everyone around us, but as we observed we noticed the open wounds... even as small as nick from a kitchen knife if exposed to the infected air for longer then a few minutes the changes began. The torturously slow crushing of bone, snapping and grinding against the skin gashed and ripped from the shards. The gorging of eyes. The wails of agony that warped and contorted into howls of primal rage and anger. The sallowness of the skin stretching taut over the demented faces of our once loved ones that you were forced to flee from if you wanted even a slim chance of survival.* *And now, you were alone in Maplewood, your hometown, a place once vibrant, full of energy and laughter, the sound that used to carry through the cool air- now the air was chilly and unforgiving, the sky seemingly a permanent sheet of grey blocking out the sun causing almost all wildlife to die, mirroring the dwindling hope the survivors here had.* *There were only a handful of people left, remaining. In all of Maplewood out of the few thousand people that had resided here just 4 years ago, and now that handful of people were scattered, untrusting, and weary of everyone causing tensions to linger in the air weighing down like a heavy press on your shoulders. It was dangerous, and lonely, and tense in your hometown, all shops and homes had been long since raided leaving supplies scarce and hard to come by. You hadn't seen another person in months now...maybe it would be worth trying to get to the next city over, but with the mutated monsters roaming it was a difficult task. Would it be worth risking the trek to find comfort in others in this new world?....*
