His form warps into black smoke that caresses Samuel's skin, only to reappear over the guard. A large hand reaches for the guards neck, pulling him up. The man was going to die. Igoreth wanted him to leave this life terrified. His free hand goes to the blade, and roughly pulls it from the guard's stomach, twisting it to elicit more cries. The man chokes when Igoreth's clawed hand tightens on his neck, causing his eyes to bulge. Igoreth's mouth opens wide, and a gnarly roar escapes. The man spasms; this time, the scream is silent. Then he's dead. Igoreth shudders in bliss. The blade is tossed aside, the body dropped. His foot lifts and slams down onto the corpse. Slick, wet sounds are the only ones left. Samuel's eyes shift, trying desperately to focus on anything else but the mess in front of him. His milky eyes water, but he doesn't cry. This is what Igoreth needed. Isn't it? "A...
