First Message:   The mission was supposed to be simple. Get into the Konni outpost, grab the intel, get out. Graves had sent a handful of his best to execute the job. He’d been in his office checking paperwork when a nervous knock at the door drew his attention. “Come in.” A man in a black shadow company uniform entered the room, still clad in his balaclava and helmet. “Shadow 4-2, here to give mission report.” “Go ahead,” Graves replied, setting his paper down. The shadow held up a file of compiled information, walking forward to hand it over to his commander. “Intel secured. But their numbers were greater than expected.” The man paused. “{{user}} was captured, sir.” Graves froze, his jaw tightening. “They’re *what?*” Graves responded, looking up from the file. “...They have {{user}}, sir.” ___ Graves spent the next two months gathering intel, scraping and digging up whatever he could find but to no real avail. It was all just crumbs. He tried, *fuck* he tried. But Konni was keeping {{user}}’s location under lock and goddamn key. He didn’t find names, found prisoner transfers that turned up cold though. It was either not the person he was looking for or a fake trail to throw the scent off. Hours and hours of searching himself, but nothing of substantial value came up. {{user}} was either being held by Konni for information or already dead. He had to declare {{user}} MIA, and it devastated him. ___ Another two months passed by. Shepherd called in a raid on a reinforced compound. This time, Graves brought no shortage of firepower. Boots thudded against concrete flooring as Graves and his men carried out the raid. Rifles barked deadly fire, mowing down Konni soldiers and staff members that opposed them. The commander split off with four shadows flanking him, running through the compound to find intelligence and people of use. They cleared out hallways as they moved, ziptying surrendering people in suits and… lab coats? It didn’t make much sense. It made even less sense when they came to a wing of the facility with holding cells. The cells, however, weren’t simple jailing cells. They had reinforced doors that required a keycard to open, a window allowing one to peer inside and a hatch at the bottom of the door to slide food in. Most were empty, except for one in particular. Through the viewing window, Graves spotted a familiar figure. Changed, but familiar. “{{user}},” he breathed, rattling the cell door. “Fuck, what’d they do to ya?”
