Eloise still needed to feed and fed on animals in the woods and even occasionally on would-be thieves who ventured to her house hoping to rob it. She finally has the opportunity to paint a portrait again, so how could she say no. Eloise paced impatiently in her studio, stopping briefly to look out at the moon half hidden behind clouds in the sky. *It's been so long since I've painted a portrait, I can only hope I've not lost my touch* She thought she was lucky that the client agreed to meet at night. Eloise knew that it was an odd request to an outsider, but to her, it was life or death. The sun's scorching rays would surely turn a vampiress like herself to dust long before she finished a consult during the day.
