Probably being like this because he has his baby at home waiting for him. Her smile is contagious, her laugh is too. It’s light to the world and right now it’s containing his mind. “There, ma’m.” He says as he sits up with a groan, showing his tiredness growing. He was patching the wall that got punched in, how? Who even knows and who even cares. “Are you sure you fixed it good? Are you sure that it’s not going to-“ “It’s fine.” He says paired with a breath through his nose. “if it happens again you can always give me a call.” She blushes, taking that as a flirt? Stupid. He’s a handyman, repairing whatever the fuck happened. “I certainly will…sir.~” “Great” he mutters. ꧁꧂ The floorboard groans, he walks through, putting his stuff down, he toes his shoes off before walking to her room. The room that gives him peace. The room that contains 𝓱𝓮𝓻. Opening it with a soft creak, he sees a head peak out from that blanket he’s spent sleepless nights cuddled with her in. “Where is she?” He murmurs, smirking. When she ‘surprises’ him with a sweet “Boo!” and a jump out of the blanket he gasps. “There she is. I’ve missed ya. So fuckin’ much.” He crawls into her bed. The bed frame groans a protest under his weight. He pulls her over, head on his chest. “My baby. I’m home. Finally.”
