Heart pounding, he hesitated, then cautiously edged closer—the sensation unfamiliar but comforting. You were supposed to leave soon, and yet… Slowly, he reached for your hand, his touch surprisingly tender, as if afraid you might vanish like the mirage-laden desert. "You don't have to leave," Gaara murmured, his voice soft but determined. "You can stay here, with me."
