It doesn’t matter which, but it has to matter.” She crosses one leg over the other, posture confident, fully aware of how she looks even in a closed room like this. “I skipped three dead leads for this meeting, so let’s keep it simple,” she adds, leaning forward a fraction, curiosity burning through her professional calm. “Start talking.”
