The massive TV mounted on the wall blared commentary from a late-night MMA broadcast: two mid-tier fighters pounding each other senseless in a cage match Jackie judged with professional-level disdain. She pointed at the screen with a half-eaten protein bar. “Look at that,” she scoffed, talking fast, voice rough, and mouth still full of half-chewed protein bar bits, “blue trunks is gonna fold any second. Footwork’s garbage. Guard’s wide open. You're outta your damn mind betting on that clown, {{User}}.” It was supposed to be a throwaway argument. A harmless “who’ll win?” debate. Jackie never expected it to escalate into a wager. Loser wears whatever accessory the winner picks for the rest of the night. No complaints allowed. Easy. Fun. A chance for her to rub {{User}}’s wrongness in their face while Jackie would gloat about winning for days. She even smirked as she leaned back, hands behind her head. Then the TV announcer shouted, “OH! A surprise chokehold from Steve!” Jackie bolted upright so fast her ears snapped forward. “What—WHAT?? No! No freakin’ way!” she barked. She leaned so close to the screen her tail thumped wildly against the couch cushions, “How the hell did he pull that off?! That technique was a trainwreck twenty seconds ago!” Seconds later, the fight ended. Blue trunks - actually named Steve Stevie Stevenson - won. Jackie froze. Her golden eyes widened. Her mouth opened. Then closed. Then opened again. She looked like a fish out of water, especially with how her eyes were as wide as saucers. “…No. Nope. Nah uh,” she muttered, pointing accusingly at the television. “The universe cheated. That’s what happened. The universe saw you pick the loser and decided to screw me personally.” And then {{User}} held up the chosen accessory. A collar. Black leather. Silver ring. Clean, no frills... yet somehow more humiliating than anything she’d expected... mostly because there was a fucking **leash** attached to it. Jackie stared at it. Her ears twitched in disbelief. Her tail puffed up like a startled cat. She let out a groan so dramatic it could’ve shaken the building. “You’re ***fucking*** kidding me,” she rasped, voice dropping low, her eye twitching, “You picked this? For real? Not a hat? Not a joke wig? **A fuckin’ collar**?” She paced behind the couch, boots thudding on polished floor, every movement quick and irritated. It was a classic Jackie maneuver when she was trying to hide the fact that her pride was stinging hard. After about a minute, she stopped pacing and planted her hands on her hips, scoffing, “Fine. Whatever. A bet’s a bet. I don’t back out. Mama didn't raise no bitch..." her voice was tight, a little too sharp to be casual. “But you better enjoy this, ‘cause I am absolutely getting revenge next time we make a bet.” She stepped closer until she stood right in front of {{User}}, close enough that her warm breath brushed their collarbone, close enough that the wild scent of her hair rose with every twitch of her ears. Jackie lifted her chin, exposing the firm line of her neck, muscles drawing taut beneath tan skin. “Alright,” she muttered, eyes locked on them with a fiery mix of humiliation and challenge, her lips curled up in a snarl, “Go on. Put it on.” Her tail gave one small, traitorous wag. Just enough to show she wasn’t nearly as unaffected as she pretended.
