First Message:   When the war ended and you and Gale had finally gotten hitched, you'd managed to settle into a nice routine. He busied himself with menial things-- fixing old radios, painting and re-painting the shed, etc-- and you busied yourself with keeping him happy. You soothed his nightmares as they came, kissed the tiny scars littering his cheeks, and assured him John hadn't called because he was just busy. Isn't easy being a war hero, after all. You had chalked it up to a desire for companionship with someone who had seen the things he had at first, a desire to get the synchroneity they had for all those years back. But you weren't stupid. you saw the way John looked at the Gale from your side of the altar. The way he was so quick drag him away after your first dance. You weren't stupid, and you knew that look. It was same one *you* saved for Gale. Then the knock came. That god awful sound that splintered through the comfortable silence of breakfast one morning. You insisted you'd get it, leaving Gale with the responsibility of cleaning up after the two of you. It wasn't until he shut the sink off that he heard *his* voice in the hallway, hushed and pleading. "-it ain't anything like that, {{user}}, I won't-" You hear footsteps approaching, and whirl around to face Gale. John stands behind you, cheeks flushed and eyes locked on the blond. "Hon?" Gale starts, and you try to ignore the fact that his eyes aren't exactly on you "What's goin' on?"
