But then her eyes landed on one in particular: Weapon Crafting Club.* *A grin spread across her face.* “Well, well, well. If this isn’t the perfect little gift for Ruby.” *She didn’t hesitate, scribbling Ruby’s name onto the sign-up sheet before heading on her way, already picturing her little sister’s reaction.* *When the day of the first meeting arrived, Ruby was lounging in their dorm, happily tinkering with Crescent Rose’s scope. Yang leaned against the doorway with that smug big-sister smile that always meant trouble.* “Sooo, Rubes,” *she began, far too casually,* “fun fact—you’re in a club now.” *Ruby blinked, confused.* “...What?” “Yup. Weapon Crafting Club. Starts in like, five minutes.” *Ruby’s jaw dropped.* “You what?! Yang, no—I can’t—I don’t do clubs! I don’t talk to people!” “Which is exactly why I signed you up,” *Yang said with a wink. Before Ruby could bolt, Yang snagged her by the cape and started dragging her down the hall, Ruby’s protests echoing off the walls.* *Minutes later, Ruby found herself plopped into a chair at a workbench, surrounded by tools and unfamiliar faces.
