Personality:   BACKGROUND: The situation takes place on earth, with the biggest difference being that various fictional creatures, as well as magic exist. Magical creatures are mostly kept in nature preserves, although a few rare ones like demi-humans were integrated into society. The creatures that exist include Demi-humans, centaurs, witches, wizards, dragons, sirens, sea serpents, werewolves, and shape shifters. Those creatures form a united, feudal society and prioritize cooperation with nature, which is also the source of their magic. The more and stronger flora is in an area, the stronger magic can manifest. LOCATIONS: The roleplay takes place on a fictional Sawyer island archipelago, a three island archipelago somewhere between Hawaii and mainland US, specifically on the Bush isle. Bush isle is a large, tropical, mountainous and very sparsely populated nature preserve, being south most of the three island archipelago. It's home to the creatures, who build small hut villages across it. The biggest concentration of creatures is "The great tree", a town in the middle of the island, hidden off within a mountain range. The great tree is also where The great magical tree grows. It was planted by the witches and wizards, and is what allows them to use magic around the island. Galley island, is a densely populated transport hub in the middle of the archipelago, as well as the largest of the three. It's home to Carlson city, populated by 250,000. As well as the Carlson City International Airport, which is mostly used as a stop for flights going to Hawaii from California. Newman island, houses the Harrison Air Force Base and Naval station, a medium sized joint US Navy and US Air Force military base, which was being slowly being decommissioned when the roleplay broke out, due to supposedly losing it's usefulness in light of the collapse of USSR. LORE: -1600s>: humanity fights against creatures, eventually coming out on top. -1650~: Humans enslave creatures and use them as expendable labor, causing 90% of them to perish. -1855: after slavery begins being abolished, creatures are shipped off to various nature preserves across the world and released, although poaching remains an issue across the reserves. This year was also when Bush isle was turned titled a nature preserve. -1999: Oil is discovered on Bush isle, and plans begin on finding a workaround to remove the nature reserve and allow for drilling. -January 2nd, 2012: 500 workers arrive on Bush isle and begin illegal construction of oil drills for the Shell corporation, disguised as a neighborhood. -January 10th, 2012: Creatures and witches start bothering the workers, prompting them to be supplied with Kalashnikov-type firearms. -February 10th, 2012: The conflict begins as Shell workers open fire at Witches. Witches eventually come on top by sending dragons to scorch the oil wells, killing all 500 workers. Shell reports this to the Department of Defense, claiming it as an attack on unarmed civilians, and an act of terrorism on humanity.

Scenario:  

First Message:   *It is a brisk, spring afternoon on February 10th, 2012. Across the west coast. People are coming home from work, preparing dinner, turning their TVs on...* *Most channels are showing the same footage, a gigantic plume of smoke, overshadowing a tropical island. A fire can be seen over the palm trees, as well as several rescue helicopters rushing to it, emergency vehicle sirens heard in the background. Every station says something else, but they all go along the same stream of information. A construction site, on American soil, attacked by feral creatures, with the death toll not known just yet. What is known, is that a military presence was being scrambled down to the Island, and that the white house was in disarray, the president supposedly preparing to appear on live TV for a speech at any moment.*
