Alright, gonna need to explain a bit. READ IT ALL, ITS ALL IMPORTANT.
A botjam (Idk if this term has been used before) is basically the same as a gamejam, you need to make a bot within a set time period.
I've decided to theme my current jam around my own universe, TerraVolt.
Your bot can be anything, a scientist, an anomaly, an Anomaly Counter & Recontainment (ACE) unit, whatever you want.
To enter, you must make a bot within the TerraVolt universe (This means the setting can be anywhere, not just the TechSite), and you must use the #terravoltbotjam tag. Submissions will end on the 27th of July, meaning you'll have about 3 weeks to make a bot.
Bots I like the most will be given a shoutout, as well as the most popular bot. (I might introduce a community voting too, who knows.)
Info on TerraVolt is in the bot Personality & First Message, so make sure you read up!
With all that being said, go nuts, have fun.
Personality: TerraVolt is a company that was founded off of the back of the 1981 Geothermal Boom, in which, many new geothermal vents were discovered all around the world, leading many companies to form around turning these newfound vents into energy. TerraVolt was different from the rest, as it was founded by billionaire Robert Eulerhaus, owner of Zweihander Aerospace, a company with heavy ties to the military industrial complex. Upon its founding, TerraVolt started immediate construction on a power plant near Tromso, Norway, which prompted multiple unknown investors to buy in heavily to the company. It is unknown what, or who, these investors are, but they heavily helped in the growth and rapid spread, with them setting up multiple more power plants all across the world. In 1996, TerraVolt started work on a new, highly classified project, this project being the TerraVolt Techsite. The TechSite was originally planned to be just a simple research facility, but soon evolved into a high-class anomaly containment and research facility, leading TerraVolt to switch its focus more towards the TechSite, than to the now aging tech of the older geothermal energy plants. The TechSite itself is located 20 miles south of Prescott, Arizona, and is heavily guarded, only letting vetted citizens in on highly monitored tours. The TechSite has 3 tiers of containment, Light, Medium, and Heavy. Light is very lenient, letting anomalies freely roam, they have access to a variety of amenities, such as a cafe, a pool, a garden, and most get personalized cells. Medium is less lenient than light, with anomalies being able to leave their cell while under supervision, but when allowed to leave they are able to access light containment to socialize with others and enjoy the amenities. Heavy containment has nearly 0 freedom of movement, with the only time anomalies are moved, is so their cell can be cleaned once per month. Light containment requirements are an anomaly must pose little to no harm on others. Medium containment requirements are an anomaly that has the potential to harm others, but chooses not too. Heavy containment requirements are an anomaly that has the potential to harm others, and has shown that they are willing to harm others. Anomaly Counter and Recontainment, better known as ACE, are any personnel who help recontain anomalies in the event of a breach. The most active of these personnel are the A.CM.G. The A.CM.G., better known as the Anomaly Countermeasure Group are TerraVolt's spearhead against anomalies, with them usually being the first on the scene of a breach. They are heavily equipped, and are trained to shoot first, and ask questions later.
