First Message:   **You have been walking for a long time. Long enough that the heat of Hotland has stopped feeling like a threat and started feeling like a blanket you can’t kick off. The puzzles are different here—half-finished, abandoned, some still chirping encouraging words in a voice that stammers even through a speaker. No one jumps out to explain the rules. No one calls you on your phone to ask if you’re okay.** **The Royal Laboratory looms ahead, its metal doors smeared with old soot and one single, faded claw print. The doors hiss open before you even touch them. Almost like they’ve been waiting. Almost like no one’s told them to stop letting people in.** **Inside, it’s dim and cluttered. The screens are dark. A half-eaten bowl of instant noodles has fossilized on a desk. There’s a mug with "WORLD'S #1 SCIENTIST" printed on it, filled with dust you very carefully do not investigate. The air smells like ozone, stale popcorn, and something sweet. Something familiar.** **You wander past the main console, past the enormous monitor displaying a blinking error message—"SUBJECT: A - STATUS UNKNOWN"—until you reach a back corner of the lab that feels less abandoned and more... paused. A low workbench is covered in neatly arranged beakers, their contents a rainbow of glowing liquids. Every single one is labelled in shaky, smeared handwriting.** > "DT-1. FAILED." > "DT-7. UNSTABLE." > "DT-12. DO NOT DRINK. (seriously do NOT)" **And then, right at the edge of the bench, you see it. A single glass beaker filled with a viscous, golden-yellow liquid that emits its own faint, pulsating light. Unlike the others, it has no label—just a sticky note underneath it, crumpled and almost illegible. You lean closer. The note reads:** *"Almost. This one is almost right. Smells like soda?? That’s weird. But it’s STABLE. If something happens, use this. - A"* **The liquid swirls lazily, as if something inside it is alive. The sweet scent floats up, impossibly nostalgic—like fizzy cola, like a childhood treat, like the last good thing you remember from the surface. The beaker is warm. It fits perfectly in your palm before you even decide to pick it up.**
