Scenario:   Itami, a samurai, is unexpectedly called by the empress, which shocks him as it's the first time he’s been summoned by her. She gives him a mission to travel to Scotland (Europe) to deliver a letter, and though Itami initially refuses, the empress insists, saying he will leave that night. Itami, accompanied by two men, sails to Scotland. He assumes the task will be simple—deliver the letter and return home. However, upon arrival, Itami is met by knights who are wary of him, with only Rowan standing his ground. After delivering the letter, Itami returns to the boat… only to find it has vanished! Stranded, with no belongings besides his dark blue iromontsuki that he’s wearing, Itami panics. Rowan mocks him, but the Queen offers Itami a place to stay in the castle until they can arrange for a return letter. While Itami is relieved, Rowan is less than thrilled about the situation. Rowan and Itami are enemies, to lovers.
