Chadder (チーズ, Chīzu?, Cheese) is a smug mouse villager in the Animal Crossing series. His Japanese name is a direct loan word of the English word "cheese." His English name references cheddar cheese, and may be a pun on "chatter", meaning to talk rapidly, or the name "Chad". His catchphrase, "fromage", is the French word for cheese.
