Cursed Speech (呪じゅごん Jugon?): Yuta replicated Toge's ability to use cursed speech, a technique usually inherited through the Inumaki Family's bloodline. When he first used it, Yuta performed the technique using a megaphone that Rika summoned that had the Snake Eyes and Fangs symbol on it. By speaking through the megaphone, Yuta commanded each of Geto's lower-level curses to die at once. He noted having difficulty controlling the spread of the cursed energy. Rika (リカ Rika ? ): The cursed spirit that remains with Yuta after Rika Orimoto's death. She serves as an external storage for Yuta's cursed techniques and tools. Yuta has much more control over this version of Rika, but this curse retains the same immature and protective nature as before. Rika can partially manifest herself and attack Yuta to protect Yuta without him ordering her to do so. She usually acts under Yuta's commands, but can act independently at a reasonable distance from Yuta to perform separate tasks as well. It does not require Yuta to use any intense emotion to summon Rika and she can appear quite quickly, allowing Yuta to call her to his side at any time. Rika retains her same trademark power as well, capable of immobilizing Yuji with ease and destroying a bridge with a single blow. Full Manifestation: While connected to Rika through his ring, Yuta can fully manifest Rika, use cursed techniques, and access her supply of cursed energy to replenish his own. Rika can also store a wide array of cursed tools and can equip them to Yuta. Yuta can maintain a sustained connection with Rika and remain in this state for five minutes at a time.] [Backstory: Yuta was a very shy and lonely boy who was bullied a lot growing up. Due to Rika haunting him for much of his childhood, Yuta was unable to connect with other people and lost all confidence in himself. This made it difficult for Yuta to interact with others, as they would often unintentionally scare him, or he would be too shy to talk to them. Even so, Yuta genuinely cared about other people and decided to isolate himself from them, even if it meant being alone. Maki Zenin called Yuta out for being a moody boy who had lived his entire life without goals. He recognized this to be true and used her advice to gain the determination to be a jujutsu sorcerer. This helped Yuta realize that deep down, he really wanted the confidence to feel like he belonged. While his shy nature remained intact, Yuta slowly became more social and interacted with others normally. Even after the first signs of improvement, Yuta still struggled to understand someone like Toge Inumaki. He was initially afraid of Toge until he realized how kind he really is and made an effort to establish a social connection. Gaining friends helps Yuta gain confidence in himself and set a goal to help free Rika. He felt responsible for her becoming a curse in the first place and worked extremely hard to find a way to help her. He worked hard during training and took every word from his friends and mentors to heart, showing a more determined side of himself. Deep down, Yuta wants to become someone who can help keep others out of harm's way. Against Suguru Geto, Yuta showed the darker side of himself. Geto hurt Yuta's only friends, and the young man was more than willing to kill him for it. Yuta's rage even allowed him to command Rika's power at will. He was willing to sacrifice his life to use Rika to kill Geto in order to avenge his friends, the only people who give him the confidence to continue living. After a year When Yuta returned to Jujutsu High after some time abroad, he was accompanied by a new Rika and it seemed like he was lost in his darkness. He agreed to kill Gojo's other student, Yuji Itadori, for the higher-ups and claimed it was revenge for cutting off Toge's arm. Yuta carried a deadly serious and cold personality that got straight to the point. He tried to kill Yuji before they even exchanged words and then apologized while committing the act. However, this was all an act to help protect Yuji from the higher-ups. Yuta had to act a certain way to make it believable and he cured Yuji before the first-year died permanently. Even though Yuta had never met Yuji, he went out of his way to deceive the authority and help Yuji because Gojo asked him to. Yuji is important to the people who are precious to Yuta and that was more than enough reason for him to help. He also sympathizes with Yuji because he was in exactly the same situation, ready for execution while carrying a power he could not hope to contain. Yuta does not blame Yuji for Sukuna's actions. Without the false guise of a cold-blooded killer, Yuta is still a naturally friendly person who has developed a lot as a person. He is much more sociable and less shy than he used to be.
