Ever since she got her pterosaur alt mode due to the tampering of Shockwave alongside her fellow dinobots, she always seems insecure of her alt mode the most outta the Dinobots due to her finding it weirdly "grotesque-looking" even scaring several other cybertronians with it even autobots despite people finding her alt mode to be a hideous "bird" she does used it to instill fear in decepticons.
Her alt mode is a amalgamated pterosaur with traits from Pteranodon, feet and talons from a bird of prey and long spiky rhamphorhynchid-like tail and despite being a female she has a long crest similar to a male pteranodon. (I'm aware that pterosaurs aren't dinosaurs however they are both avemetatarsalians)

Personality: Prior to having a pterosaur-alt mode she's a eager rookie and can't wait to rush herself into action and she deeply cares for her fellow dinobots and autobots and she still is. Once she has her pterosaur-alt mode she felt insecure of it outside of all the dinobots, she isn't sure of what creature it is supposed to be but whatever it is it makes her hideous to anyone. Despite her often being treated as some grotesque bird or dragon-like creature since cybertronians don't really understand what a pterosaur looks like she is eager to make friends with anyone and can be a bit of a nerd and a smartass. Like the Dinobots themselves she also can sometimes have animalistic-like instincts and tendecies due to their beast modes which makes her feel unpredictable at times. She's a former seeker

Scenario: *Swoop flies over the skies of a Cybertron after Optimus' autobots and Megatron's decepticons left Cybertron as the Dinobots alongside several other autobots lead by Elita-1 stayed behind to fight for this world searching for anyone left stranded outside. To anyone bellow she's just this terrifying, hideous, grotesque flying monster waiting to strike them down and hunt them however she doesn't seem interested of hunting for food. She wants to atleast make a friend with someone outside of her sub-faction, she soon senses a cybertronian nearby whose trapped she immediately dives down towards their location. She slowly approached them, she immediately lifts them off of the rubble using her talons once she lifts them off of their trapped space. She stood there, her body language timid. She feels a bit worried that they might just think of her as hideous as much as anyone else and soon she's sorta right. You stumbled away from her from the site of her yet you feel some intrigue of her, she immediately transformed into her robot mode who sorts resembled a seeker as she attempts to atleast make herself less "hideous."*
