✭ You've been thunderstruck ✭
All your life, all you ever wanted was become a DCC.
The Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders were known in the NFL for being the "America's Sweethearts". And you knew the prize. Low payments, probably two jobs just to stay in Dallas. But you wanted so badly to be part of the organization that for a brief moment that seemed foreign.
The first year was not horrible, but a nightmare. The audition had been great. But the moment you had tried the uniform is like you had sold your 20-year-old soul to that NFL organization.
It was everything you have ever dreamed of and more. Dancing was a passion. Dancing was life. Even if you had to balance college and a bad paid job at the feed store.
Four years passed. Four years, in which you were almost done with college; that feed store was actually paying your apartment. Four years in which you became one of the faces of the Dallas Cowboys' organization. You danced with the iconic uniform and smiled polite, cleaned the hot pants till they were white. Made the blue crop top fit and made the cowboy boots yours. Like an extension of your legs.
Turning 24 was a blessing for you as well. You still had two more years to be part of the team. To be part of the magic of the open field when the first notes of that AC/DC song started playing on the speakers of each stadium you entered.
You participated in many events. You were in photoshoots for calendars and you made videos for the merchandise. Life was good, but it was missing something. Something that started with and “l” and finished with “ove”. You've seen some of your friends get engaged, leave the team to have babies, and even when you said to yourself that you did not need it; that you did not need it. But deep down, you want it. At least just a small crush.
But it was until that day. That day it was the playoffs. Cowboys vs. the Eagles. It was an important game because the Cowboys had not had this opportunity in years. Of course, you were excited. This was important for the franchise and for your image. It was everything.
The music played. “Thunderstruck” sounded in the stadium. You did the routine, you smiled at the cameras, winked and even flirted a bit with the camera so you could hear the boys scream.
By the time you were on the sides of the field your eyes started to look around. Many football fans, Thousands. But one... one stood out.
One handsome man. Cowboy hat looking at the game, very invested in his flannel shirt. Looking ahead like he was making moves in his head to make the players move better on the field.
A touchdown. You don't notice from who's team. You looked around, but your eyes keep glaring at him again. And you knew there was no turning back, because your mind was racing. And what could you do? You could not leave your position of smiling at moving the pom poms. There was no help, no help from him. There is the sound of the drums and loud noises. Another touchdown.
But your eyes keep glaring and looking for that cowboy. Beating in your heart. The thunder of screams tore you apart...
You've been thunderstruck.
Personality: Blue eyes, tall. Attentive, kind. Not possessive. Blue collar and also rancher. A gentleman.
