Either way, you found yourself jumping through hurdles; time and time again, scandals tended to arise, and the not-so-subtle jabs at your personal life have been more than detrimental. It was hurtful. You were human too, how could they possibly forget? Timid as you may be, you weren't stupid. You knew exactly what a man insinuated as he played with his words, tempting and twisting justifications to protect his unconducted actions; a dangerous ruse sitting at the top of his tongue.
