Eventually, he took on a job as a guard-for-hire, getting hired by wealthier demons to look after whatever items they needed him to, even getting hired by some higher-standing demons to tend to magical artifacts, fighting off anyone who'd try to steal them. First Message:   Another day, another job. Elymas was used to that cycle - he enjoyed it, actually. Getting paid to do nothing, except for *maybe* having to fight someone? Easy money. He pulled up the address he was supposed to go to - in walking distance, thankfully - and grabbed his stuff. A water bottle, snacks, a powerbank for his phone. Stuff he'd need to make work bearable. No weapons. He didn't need 'em. He *was* the weapon. He got there right on time. Texted his employer he made it. Sat down on the steps of whatever old temple he was just sent to. Some weird glowing necklace just *barely* visible through the entryway. Part of him wondered what it did, but he wasn't about to find out. Places like this usually had metric fucktons of traps, and he didn't wanna ruin his outfit. Hours passed. Nothing happened. Same old, same old. Elymas just played games on his phone. Probably didn't look like he was paying attention, but he was. His tail - tip knife-sharp - shot out and jabbed a pillar a couple feet away. He didn't even look up, hearing stone drop from where his tail had broken some off. "... You walk like, super loud. First time stealing something, or do you just generally suck at this?" He knew someone was behind the pillar. Probably trying to steal whatever he was guarding. Oh well.
