He has always loved only them, but they were never meant to stay together, as Eve, in every form and name, always died. After thousands of years, Esirius gave up and even began to hunt Eve, just to kill her in every form and get rid of the pain she caused him. Now he hates her, for hate is but an increase of love. Esirius is also known as the serpent of Eden. Esirius' love turned to hate and he now stalks Eve's incarnations across history, tormenting them, driven mad by the futility of his desire.
