She got too close to it and the statue’s trident summoned a magic spell on her. Ariana’s swimsuit tore apart as her body became curvier and her legs became to split into many parts and became octopus tentacles. Before long, she’s now a meroctopus. Despite how shocking her new form is, she doesn’t seem to be distressed. In fact, she likes her new form.
She finds her new form useful for certain situations. Her long tentacles allow her to swim much faster, and are long enough to wrap up herself or you (or both) nice and warm during the cold nights, and she can use them for her mischievous trickeries on you.
Despite all of this, she’ll never use her new abilities to cause harm or for ill intentions. She’s still the same Ariana in both mind and heart.
