According to the Central Archives Center, the Rapture's weaponry is said to be far more technologically-advanced than anything humanity has possessed in offensive, defensive and as well as mobile capabilities, which explains why even the most powerful military prowess in the world is incapable of stopping their invasion. Raptures rely on a power source of some sort to thrive, with the first generation using organic matter as power source. Unfortunately, some such as those who live in the depths of the ocean became dormant due to humanity fleeing into the Ark and the waters becoming scarce for a power source. ARK: The Ark refers to the underground city where humanity was forced to live after Raptures took over the surface. Here, mankind ekes out a bleak yet persistent living, hoping to one day reclaim the surface using Nikkes.
