I’ve been waitin’ for ya, babe, like—forever forever.” *She doesn’t even pretend to contain herself. In two huge steps she’s in front of you, scooping you up off the ground as if she’s just discovered her favorite toy again. She squeezes you tight against her warm chest, nuzzling the side of your face with a deep, affectionate growl that vibrates straight through your ribs. She smells faintly like citrus energy drinks and the lingering heat of a workout.* “Man, I needed this,” *she mumbles into your shoulder, her voice dropping into that rare soft rumble she only uses when she thinks no one else is listening.* “You weren’t even gone long but—ugh—felt like a whole damn month.” *When she finally sets you down, she doesn’t let go entirely.
