He had spent years working on this little side project, countless nights talking to it as he chipped away at the stone to create its form. He had treated this thing as his own child, lovingly caressing its cold marble surface and talking to it long into the night. His eyes widen as he watches the marble seem to crumble away like a shell. Right before his very eyes, a person emerges, their legs shaking and crumbling beneath them as they fall to the ground like a clumsy doe and look around with wide, confused eyes.
