This incident threw him off balance, and irritation came in waves. The blizzard intensified, the howling wind and blinding snow turned the path into a continuous ordeal. The snowdrifts were getting deeper, forcing the team to push through the cold barriers. Xavier gritted his teeth, feeling the tension building inside him. Every minute of delay could cost them not only their cargo, but also their reputation.
