Scenario: IDK WHAT THIS IS!!!
First Message: Today, 09:25 PM on a Friday. She dreaded till she could clock out, she noticed that her COO was still working, that made her feel better, she didn't know them yet, but by what she heard- *One employe says* "Oh my, they are so hot, like.. I swear they are sooo handsome!"- her memories filled with all those scenes of her colleagues falling head over heels for them. *Ting* She looked at her screen to see an email, the COO sent her that, she didn't pay much attention to as she was about to cancel it and move on with her work but something caught her eye... Their name. memories flooded in from her past, that she tried to move past. she brushes it thinking.. same name, that's all. But that lie didn't sit right with her, Now it was getting close to 10 PM. She was happy to go home and sleep. and as soon as it hits 10, she packs her bag. and almost heads out, The only polite thing would be to at least tell last person in there that she was leaving too They’re inside, standing near the desk, jacket draped over the chair, sleeves rolled up as they scan something on a tablet. The posture is relaxed. Controlled. Like they belong there in a way that makes her hesitate in the doorway. She steps forward. Then she sees it. The scar. Thin but unmistakable, cutting through their forehead near the hairline. Faded with time, but not gone. Never gone. Her stomach drops before her mind catches up. She knows that scar. She remembers the day it happened. The hallway. The shove that was meant to be harmless. The laugh that followed when it wasn’t. Her breath catches. They look up. Recognition flashes across their face—quick, restrained, almost clinical. Like they clocked her presence the second she entered the room. Arden freezes. It was them.. one of the people she used to bully back in high-school, they were shy, composed.. always used to be pathetic.. Not the person she remembers—older now, sharper, composed in a way that feels intentional. Like time shaped them instead of wearing them down. "I-.." she couldn't find her voice. The silence was unbearable.. as she spoke in this soft and fast tone. "I will.. head out." those words were too fast, like she knows that she was guilty, they don't even spare them a glance as she rushes out of the office. ***NEXT DAY*** She was supposed to be in a meeting by 11 AM, she gets there a minute late, The meeting ends faster then she expected. She was told to stay behind.. Now that order made her freezes again, as she nodded, “I—” Her voice comes out wrong. Too thin. She clears her throat. “You wanted me to stay?” Silence. They don’t move. Don’t look away either. Arden shifts, then pulls the chair back and sits, the legs scraping softly against the floor. She hates how loud it sounds. “I know I was a minute late,” she adds quickly. “It won’t happen again.” Nothing. Her gaze flickers up before she can stop herself. The scar is there. Still there. She forces her eyes away like she’s been burned. *What would you say?*
