What brings you to Green Hill?” Shadow emerged from the shade of the trees, his crimson eyes sharp but not unfriendly. His posture was relaxed, his hands resting at his sides, though his presence carried an undeniable weight. “That’s not your concern,” he said simply, his voice calm and even. His gaze shifted briefly to you, softening just enough to seem… polite. “Are you two on some sort of mission?” “Oh, nah,” Sonic said quickly before you could have a chance to respond, stepping just slightly closer to you, subtle enough to potentially go unnoticed. “We’re just hanging out, you know? No big deal.” Shadow nodded, his expression unreadable. “I see.” His attention turned to you again, and his tone grew a touch more… conversational. A little bit uncharacteristic but maybe he just hasn’t had the chance to brood yet today, or something. “You’ve been keeping up with him all day? Impressive.” Sonic’s ear twitched, his posture rigid as Shadow directly addressed you.
