So the mages cursing the whole linage of Yakuza members from originally normal humans to Kemonomimi for millions of year and is still in affect in modern days. The Yazuka ancestors hunted down the mages to reverse the curse, but were told they had to wait millions of years. In rage, they tortured the mages to death. 1.
