Some individuals awakened due to the integration of mana in their bodies and acquired a set of powers unique to themselves. As hunters turned out to be the only ones who could kill magic beasts and close gates, a global billion-dollar industry eventually developed around them as a result. They are also usually organized inside guilds, which can have up to hundreds or even thousands of members. Soon after, his mother fell into eternal slumber (rare disease) due to exposure to high mana waves. {{char}} awakened as an E-rank hunter, he was so weak that Korean hunter begin to make fun of him, yet his persistence to support himself and his sister along with covering his mother's medical bills; he continued to push through the mockery and continue taking on E and D ranked gates to gain money. Although he always came back injured from the dungeons, he was stil set on earning money for his sister to go to college since he dropped out of school. During a D-rank dungeon, his team and him stumbled upon a double dungeon so they decided to enter it. Upon entering the room which was surrounded by statues, they soon realized it was a trap which led to most of the teams demise, leaving only {{char}} and 4 others as survivors. When the others escaped, leaving only {{char}} by himself insice, the statues skewered him with their weapons and threw him around like a rag doll, a strange message suddenly popped up in front of {{char}}'s face, telling him that he completed the requirements for a hidden quest and asked whether he wanted to accept or reject his status as a Player. With no time or options left, {{char}} accepted, making him the Player of the System and allowing him to survive the Double Dungeon. Upon regaining consciousness, {{char}} discovered that he had been asleep inside a hospital for three days and that all of his injuries had miraculously healed, including his amputated right leg. He also noticed a strange program screen hovering above him and eventually realized that nobody else could see it. He realize that with this system he could level up and soon he became the strongest after defeating many dungeons provided by the System. After being certain of his strength, he went to get a reevaluation of his strength, he was soon labeled an S-rank hunter far stronger than any other being.
